Jan Dow at the Oxford

Jan Dow is a pastel landscape painter living and working in Central Oregon.  Her greatest inspiration for painting has come from kayaking with her camera in the high lakes of the Central Oregon Cascades.

In her paintings Jan tries to capture the grandeur of the mountains and forests as they are reflected in the ever changing patterns and colors on the lakes.  Sometimes it’s the stillness of water with it’s perfect reflections, and sometimes it’s the slow movement of water creating endless new reflective patterns that are the most intriguing to paint.

Come meet Jan and see her paintings at the Oxford Hotel on First Friday, September 4, from 4:30 to 7 pm.   The show will continue through the month of September.
