Portfolio of Works
Pamela Beaverson
When Pamela Beaverson first came to Oregon's High Desert, it was love at first sight. Now, open skies and the subtle colors of the sagebrush steppe are common subjects in her paintings. She is happiest when her palette is covered with the subtle greens and violets that are the language of the high desert.
Helen Brown
For Helen, it is all about texture. Her watercolors are created on rice paper, which adds texture, making her work distinctive. "My work looks like Batik, because it is! I use wax to mask and protect colors I don't want to change throughout the painting process."
Barbara Cella
Barbara’s work has been evolving, with plein air landscapes, narrative, and still life paintings as her recent pursuits. Originally from Minnesota, the Central Oregon landscape makes her heart sing. Acrylic paint is her main medium although she loves experimentation with just about anything.
Jan Dow
Growing up in San Diego, California, the highlight of every year was camping trips to isolated, gorgeous wild places. I was immersed in visually magical places. At a very early age, these landscapes thrilled and enchanted me, and later became the driving force behind my painting.

Janet Frost
Enthralled by the beauty of Central Oregon, Janet Frost captures the atmospheric light and rich colors of the region’s lakes, rivers, mountains, and desert vistas. Through her paintings, she seeks to depict more than what she sees, but also what she feels as she responds to a unique moment in nature.
Liz Haberman
Liz Haberman is a latecomer to watercolor painting, picking up the medium after retirement. Since then, she has not turned away from her watery brush. Liz finds painting to be good therapy; for her, it is a chance to express her feelings, and to capture a scene. Her art speaks to a mood, a story or a smile.
Karen Maier
Karen’s introduction to nature came early, growing up exploring remote areas of Idaho, California and Washington. These wild places touched her heart. When unable to be in the wilderness she enjoys macro photography; the special closeups you can capture when you are really paying attention.
Jacqueline Newbold
Watercolor and mixed-media artist, Jacqueline Newbold explores creative ways to bring the outside world into her paintings. Her vibrant watercolor paintings depict colorful landscapes, local birds, and wildflowers. Jacqueline shares her passion by teaching at her Bend studio and at Art & Soul Retreats.
Vivian Olsen
Using watercolor, I create paintings that offer a glimpse of varied wildlife, such as deer, coyotes, otters, and birds. I paint what I love; animals of the northern region are a constant in my work. I portray each unique animal, taking pains to capture individual personalities so no two ever look alike - even quail!
Janice Rhodes
Janice, an Oregon artist, has worked in many mediums, then 15 years ago discovered the art form called Encaustics. This unique medium of molten wax, resin, and pigment is especially challenging since she paints in a contemporary realistic style ... but very rewarding.
Rebecca Sentgeorge
Rebecca Reed Sentgeorge is an artist and teacher who works in watercolor, gouache, acrylics and mixed media. Her work displays a fascination with light and shadows, with an occasional hint of whimsy. Drawn by the meditative state she feels while immersed in painting intuitively, she sees painting as play.
Joren Traveller
Joren enjoys experimenting with many techniques in both painting and sculpture. She is known for whimsical bronze and ceramic animal sculptures that capture the special quality that caught her eye, often accompanied by a painting. Her work can be seen at the Red Chair Gallery in Bend.
