Jean Requa Lubin
Oil Painter
Oil Paintings

“As a child growing up in American Samoa and Juneau, Alaska,I developed an intense love of nature and wildlife, and these influences have stayed with me, finding expression in lush oil paint.”
Created with painterly realism, Jean’s art is a reflection of her interpretation of the subject, from lush floral portraits to the color and action of the equestrian world.
Now a member of the High Desert Art League, Jean is also a juried member of the American Academy of Equine Art and the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
“And for me, it’s especially so gratifying when the viewer feels an emotional connection to my painting, and it’s this communication that’s so meaningful.”
Jean says'
“I love to portray the communication between horse and human — to tell a story of their relationship.”
