“My paintings portray places, objects, or experiences that hold personal meaning to me--things that I treasure or memorable encounters I’ve had with nature. Working in oils, and occasionally in watercolors, my representational landscapes are atmospheric and personal. Although I enjoy seeking out new places and subjects for my paintings, my inspiration is most often found close to home. The high desert climate of central Oregon provides opportunities to experience the beauty of nature in all four seasons with abundant light and brilliant color.”
